Jailed NH man facing additional armed robbery charges

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A man currently incarcerated at the N.H. State Prison on separate offenses including probation violations is facing new charges out of Portsmouth.

David Wilson, 27, is facing robbery and armed robbery charges stemming from two separate incidents.

According to police, the first incident occurred on January 29, 2012 at Tedeschi's Food Mart on Islington Street in Portsmouth. A male suspect entered the store with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money from the cashier around 5:15 p.m. The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The second incident occurred on February 1, 2012 around 8:20 p.m. at the Worth Parking Lot in downtown Portsmouth. A female victim told police that she was approached by a male suspect who assaulted her and forcefully removed her purse. The male suspect then fled the area on foot.

Based on evidence recovered from the scene, it was determined the victim was struck with a pellet gun. As a result of this incident, Wilson is being charged with robbery and armed robbery.

On April 2, 2012, police executed a search warrant on a vehicle that was impounded as a result of officers finding Wilson and a female inside of it.  At the time the two were wanted on separate warrants and were arrested. After a search of the vehicle, Wilson was additionally charged with receiving stolen property.
