WRENTHAM, Mass. - A investigation has been launched after a construction worker fell 30 feet from a roof in Wrentham on Sunday morning.
Wrentham Fire Captain Robert Holst said the man was working construction on the house on 165 South Street when he fell.
According to fire officials, the man was in critical condition and was flown to a Rhode Island hospital.
A few workers were on scene when we arrived, but they quickly left when we started asking questions about the accident here - where a man fell 30 feet from this roof.

Captain Holst told Boston 25 News the worker who fell was unconscious when he was being treated on scene. He said the fall happened at around 12:30 p.m.
"You know, this isn't an uncommon problem and we wish it was, because when you fall from that kind of height, people don't generally do well, their injuries are usually very significant and we've seen it many, many times here," said Captain Holst. "When he was on the ground he didn’t have anything that would indicate that he was tied off like you probably should be after 6 feet."
Luckily, the house under construction where the man was working at happened to be located right across the street from the Wrentham Fire station. Another worker quickly ran across the street seeking help.
The victim has only been identified as a man in his 40's. It is unclear whether he was wearing the proper safety gear while working.
Other workers at the scene left when Boston 25 News arrived. The company listed for construction could not be reached.
Police have notified OSHA in order to further investigate this accident.
