Investigation leads to major drug organization, arrests, seizure of drugs and weapons

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – After an investigation into a Framingham-based crack cocaine operation, police have arrested major drug traffickers and seized guns and weapons.

After an investigation that lasted months, prosecutors from the Middlesex District Attorney’s office applied for search warrants to obtain a telephone wiretap authority, then used those wiretaps to learn more about a drug ring.

State and local police along with federal agents executed more than 12 search warrants at suspected drug locations in Framingham, Marlborough, Natick, Dorchester, Roxbury, Allston, and Worcester. The searches resulted in the seizure of more than 1,400 grams of cocaine, illegal firearms and ammunition, thousands of dollars, and several cars.

Eight members of the organization were charged Thursday with cocaine trafficking, possession of illegal firearms, conspiracy and money laundering. They were arraigned in the Framingham District Court.
