Inked couple accused of stealing court bailiff’s handgun

BARNSTEAD, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A Barnstead couple was charged with felony theft and possession of a firearm in court after they reportedly stole a bailiff's handgun which had been left in the court bathroom.

Jacob Noury, 33, and Courtney Rojek, 24, of 417 Narrows Road, were arrested Saturday after New Hampshire State Police executed a search warrant at their home and found the firearm, reports Foster's Daily Democrat.

Police told the newspaper that the court bailiff misplaced her handgun in the bathroom of the Concord District Court on Friday. Surveillance footage revealed that Rojek and Noury walked out of the courthouse with the weapon.

Rojek and Noury were arrested at a Chichester tattoo parlor on Saturday and were arraigned on Monday. They are being held on $10,000 cash bail, and their next scheduled appearance in court is Feb. 8.
