Indiana man faces federal charges in Boston over threat to shoot white people

BOSTON — An Indiana man is facing federal charges in Boston after threatening to shoot white people at last year's Free Speech Rally on the Common.

Eric Radulovic, 32, was arraigned in federal court Wednesday in the Seaport.

Radulovic lives just outside of Indianapolis and federal prosecutors say he was upset with the deadly violence at the protest in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He was arrested earlier this month in Indiana, and charged with posting threats against the rally last August. Thousands filled Boston Common in a counter demonstration to that Free Speech Rally.

Investigators say he logged onto a 4Chan discussion group called Politically Incorrect, posed as a member of the alt-right in a discussion about the upcoming Boston Free Speech Rally and said, "I'm going to bring a Remington 700 and start shooting alt-right guys."

Radulovic allegedly said he would do this as a false flag -- a way to generate sympathy for the alt-right group.

He allegedly added in his post that he would aim for tanned, dark-haired people, so that “the real white people wouldn't have to worry.”

Radulovic’s attorney told Boston 25 News his client would not be commenting when we encountered them outside court.

If convicted in this case, Radulovic is looking at a maximum five years in federal prison and quarter of a million dollars in fines.
