In Mass., US Senate hopefuls making final pitches

BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown is casting himself as an independent Republican and Democratic rival Elizabeth Warren says she'll guarantee women equal pay as the nation's costliest Senate contest races toward an Election Day finale.

Brown on Wednesday launched a bus tour and a new television ad, vowing to put people ahead of politics if reelected. Warren unveiled her own closing ad, telling voters that she'll help create decent jobs, ease student debt and protect Medicare.

The race is already the most expensive contest in Massachusetts history and the costliest Senate race in the nation.

The candidates have raised nearly $66 million combined.
