DEDHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Dedham emergency crews rescued a 17-year-old Roslindale boy from a swamp on Friday night.

Officials tell FOX 25 the teen was with his friends near the train tracks when he became disoriented and fell into the swamp. The teen was in there for nearly an hour before someone in a nearby building heard his calls for help.

FOX 25 was on the scene near Little Wigam Pond at about 10 p.m. Friday. Dedham firefighters entered the water with survival suits on to rescue the teen.

It took emergency crews quite some time to pull the teen, who officials say was about 6'4" tall, from the swampy area. He was transported to Norwood Hospital to be treated for hypothermia.
