HYANNIS, Mass. — A man is in critical condition after being struck by a car in Hyannis while crossing the street on Saturday morning.
The victim, identified as an 88-year-old man, was hit by a 79-year-old Carver man driving an SUV.
The crash happened at around 9:20 a.m. just east of the Sea Street intersection, causing a brief road closure while EMS worked on the scene.
The victim was transported to the Cape Cod Hospital where he was stabilized before being transported via MedFlight to a Rhode Island Hospital. He is reportedly in critical condition.
No citations have been issued yet.
The crash and the cause of the crash remain under police investigation.
