Hundreds gather at vigil for young men killed by wrong-way driver

HYANNIS, Mass. — Hundreds of people gathered in Hyannis Wednesday night to remember the four young men killed when the car they were in was hit by a wrong-way driver earlier this week.

While the crowd was heavy-hearted mourning the lives of those young men, the message shared was uplifting practice love for one another, because you never know when it will be your last chance.

Kraig Diggs, 20, and his cousin 19-year-old Jordan Galvin were both students at Anna Maria College. Their friends, 18-year-old Cory Liciata of West Babylon, New York and 29-year-old Jordan Fisher of Harwich were also in the car at the time of the crash.

"I knew every single one of the kids, I knew every single parent, that's how we grew up," event organizer Jonathan Thompson said.

Families, friends, and neighbors stayed well into the night to show support for everyone impacted by the tragedy.

"It doesn't matter where you live on the cape, were all connected, we love each other," Thompson said.

The driver of the other vehicle, Valentein Burson, also passed away in that crash. Investigators still don't know what caused her to drive the wrong way down Route 495 but records show she had a history of speeding, and once had her license suspended.
