It was quite the scene early Saturday morning at Boston Logan, with music, cheers and clapping.
It was all for the 57 veterans from WWII and the Korean War, traveling to Washington, DC to see the memorials in their honor.
I’m here at @BostonLogan with @TylerUnwin. We’ve been invited to travel with @HonorFlightNE as this group of local veterans will visit their memorials in DC. What an incredible and emotional experience I’m honored to cover. @boston25 pic.twitter.com/g6lftppcYf

Saturday's flight marked the 50th trip for Honor Flight New England, the local chapter of a national organization that raises money and organizes trips for veterans to see their war memorials.
Boston 25 News' Stephanie Coueignoux is traveling with the veterans as part of a special report. See their trip on her Twitter and Facebook.
