BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) - Some homes were evacuated in East Boston following a water main break Friday night.
Boston fire officials said a half dozen triple-decker homes were evacuated on Sumner Street after a 12-inch water main broke.
Power, water and heat were knocked out to about six to eight triple deckers in the area.
The American Red Cross says they assisted two families, a family of five and a family of three, after the water main break. The families were provided temporary shelter.
