High school administrator fired for inappropriate conduct in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Mass. — An administrator at Central Catholic High School has been fired for violating school policies, and now both police and the District Attorney’s Office are investigating.

In a letter provided to Boston 25 News by a parent, the school said it was cooperating with law enforcement.

The letter was sent to parents Tuesday and announced that the administrator was fired. According to the letter, the administrator, Andrew Nikonchuk, violated the school’s policies pertaining to appropriate social boundaries between students and faculty.

The letter goes on to say that the school is working to determine how often the violations occurred.

The letter begins in part:

“We assure you that the safety and well-being of our students, past and present, is always and always will be out first and highest priority. A large part of this responsibility lies in informing you of any suspected incidents impacting the safety and well-being of our students.”

The letter didn’t give any information about the nature of the violations, when they occurred or how many students may have been involved.

While Boston 25 News was investigating the incident, it was discovered that all of Nikonchuk’s social media accounts had been deactivated.
