Hernandez girlfriend lied to grand jury almost 30 times, prosecutor alleges

FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The prosecutors in Aaron Hernandez's murder case claims the former Patriot's girlfriend lied to a grand jury 29 times.

In court Tuesday, Assistant District Attorney William M. McCauley submitted a bill of particulars detailing almost 30 times that 24-year-old Shayanna Jenkins perjured herself when she testified before the Bristol County Grand Jury in August.

Among the alleged lies were that Jenkins said she didn't speak with Hernandez about the shooting of Alexander Bradley, or the lawsuit in which Bradley has sued Hernandez for shooting him in the face.

Prosecutors allege other lies include that Jenkins saw just one gun in the North Attleboro home she shared with Hernandez and their daughter, and that she never had a conversation with him about Odin Lloyd's murder or the following investigation.

Prosecutors also called into question the 24-year-old's claims that she doesn't remember what items she took from their home, or where she went after she dropped Hernandez off at the North Attleboro police station.

Jenkins has pleaded not guilty to a perjury charge and will return to court in January.

Hernandez is being held without bail on a first degree murder charge in the shooting death Odin Lloyd.
