Hernandez cousin set to change plea to guilty

FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A cousin of former Patriot Aaron Hernandez, Tanya Singleton, is set to change her plea to guilty and discuss sentencing.

A hearing will be held for Tanya Singleton Aug. 12. She was charged with criminal contempt in both Bristol and Suffolk Counties. Prosecutors claim she refused to answer questions during grand jury indictments for the murder cases against Hernandez.

At the upcoming hearing, prosecutors will request jail time for Singleton. However, they have to prove that the jail is able to provide Singleton with the care she needs for her breast cancer treatments.
