Herald: Barney Frank gave raises to staffers before leaving House

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A report from the Boston Herald says former U.S. Rep. Barney Frank gave his 20-person staff taxpayer-funded raises before he left office.

The Herald reports that Frank gave an average 23-percent raise to his staff, more than any other delegate from Mass. According to the Herald, Frank's staff payroll went up $13,053 in the last quarter of 2012.

The information came from a Herald review of House clerk records.

Frank was not able to be reached for comment.
