(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – While you were sleeping, Mother Nature was wreaking havoc on the Bay State.
Heavy rains and whipping winds toppled trees and knocked out power in many places. There have been no reports of injuries or major damage.
There were thousands of power outages, but service has been restored to most customers in the state.
The strong line of storms created similar scenes up and down the Interstate 95 corridor. All the rain caused severe flooding in Baltimore. Authorities there say some roads were under 6 to 12 inches of water.
The National Weather Service issued tornado watches, but no tornadoes were reported.
