MANSFIELD, Mass. – A hearing Wednesday night will determine if a dog that left a boy with 400 stitches will live or die.
Six-year-old Christian, of Mansfield, has bite marks all over his body. He was attacked by a pointer-hound mix named Milo.
The dog belongs to Christian's babysitter and now his mom wants Milo put down. She petitioned Mansfield selectmen to order just that. Milo's owner says they are willing to do anything to keep their dog alive.
The board will hear from both sides at a town hall meeting at 8 p.m. Once they come up with a decision, the dog's family will have 10 days to appeal.
