BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Saturday's NCAA football game between Boston College and Army could be in jeopardy due to the ongoing government shutdown.

On Monday, the Department of Defense suspended all intercollegiate athletic competitions at service academies because of the shutdown.

Boston College said it was in communication with Army athletics officials about the game.

"Obviously our intention is to exhaust all possibilities to play the game and we will communicate the information promptly as soon as we have resolution," said BC athletic director Brad Bates.
