BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — Bridgewater police are asking for help finding the good Samaritans who saved an elderly couple from being hit by an MBTA train.
Just before 1 p.m. Thursday, police and fire crews were called to Broad Street near Spring Street for a car that had been struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train.
Police say the car got stuck on the tracks in the snow at the rail crossing. The driver and passenger, an elderly couple, were helped out of the car by two bystanders. The car was thrown into nearby gates and a control shed exposing live wires.
