Globe: Conley has $868,000 in campaign funds to use in race

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley is the frontrunner in terms of cash raised in his bid to be the next mayor of Boston.

Conley has gone unchallenged for district attorney in the decade he has held the position.

The Boston Globe reports he has $868,000 in campaign funds to use in the race. The paper also says that since 2005, 380 lawyers have contributed $330,000 to his campaign coffers. That's 43 percent of his donors.

Many donors are civil and non-criminal defense attorneys, so they never battled his office in court.
