PROVIDENCE, R.I. (MyFoxBoston.com) — The search is on for the gunman who opened fire at a graduation party in Providence, killing a 12-year-old girl. Three other people were also injured.
Friends said Aynis Vargas, a sixth-grade student, was one of four people shot late Saturday night at the Hartford Park Housing Complex.
One woman who was at the graduation party told FOX 25the gunman was wearing camouflage pants and a mask.
Police are still searching for her killer and they have not released any information about the other three shooting victims.
The 12-year-old was pronounced dead at Hasbro Children's Hospital. Sunday afternoon there was vigil in memory of the sixth-grader.
