Game 1 of Eastern Conference Finals to take place Saturday

Updated:

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Boston Bruins and the Pittsburgh Penguins will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.

The Bruins are hoping one week is enough to rest, practice and strategize how to defeat the top-seeded Pittsburgh Penguins, whom they lost to all three times in the regular season by one goal.

Despite the losses, Bruins Coach Claude Julien is optimistic his team can defeat the Penguins saying the regular season is one thing and the playoffs are another.

The Bruins returned to the ice for the first time Tuesday since winning their second-round series against the New York Rangers with a 3-1 victory Saturday. The Penguins had an equally easy time of advancing through the second round, taking out the Ottawa Senators in five games.
