• Friends of Beverly 'Idol' contestant hold viewing party


    BEVERLY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Angie Miller made it to the top 8 of American Idol on Thursday night.

    The Beverly resident garnered enough votes after Wednesday night's performance of the Beatles classic "Yesterday."

    Paul Jolley was voted off the show on Thursday.

    Back at home in Beverly, Angie's friends threw a watch party for the talented teen.

    Angie's friend, Carly Moffie, hosted the event. Carly used to perform in musicals with Angie. Now she is watching her friend's journey on American Idol. Join Carly in following Angie's progress on FOX 25.
