Framingham Police searching for suspects in overnight home invasion

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — One person was shot during an early morning home invasion in Framingham, and now police are searching for the suspects.

Framingham Police tell Boston 25 News they received a call around 2 a.m. Thursday morning for a home invasion at the Sherwood Park Apartments.

2 men dressed in black broke into a home. At least one person went inside and fought with someone inside - and police said at least one shot was fired from a shotgun.

A neighbor told Boston 25 News the shots woke her up. "When I moved here 16 years ago it was beautiful over here," Loretta Jenkins said. "I loved it here. But now, I don't want to live here anymore."

A victim was shot with birdshot in the arm, and was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still searching for the suspects. The incident remains under investigation.
