Framingham mother accused of choking, trying to suffocate daughter

FRAMINGHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A Framingham woman is facing charges after authorities accused her of attacking her teenage daughter over cell phone use and giving the family dog water.

Solimar Cruz is facing charges that include assault with the intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery following an incident that occurred in her Burdette Ave home on Saturday, reports the Metrowest Daily News.

The 29-year-old is accused of choking, trying to suffocate, and throwing a bowl at her 13-year-old daughter. The child reportedly suffered rug burns and other injuries in the altercation.

Cruz is scheduled to be back in court on Nov. 7.
