FOX Follow-up: New suspect in Leicester theft returns stolen items

LEICESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Leicester Police are changing their original report on a photo taken by a man whose belongings were stolen earlier this week.

On Wednesday, FOX 25 reported on a homeowner who tracked down his wife's stolen Macbook by logging into it remotely. He used the laptop's camera and video chat program "Facetime" to take pictures of the person with the computer.

Police originally believed the man in the foreground of the photo was a person-of-interest in the theft. They say a tracking app located the computer at his home at one point. They now say the person in the background is actually the one connected to the crime.

Investigators say this new suspect has returned all of the stolen electronics and jewelry. The only thing police are still trying to recover is the stolen Macbook.
