FOX 25 WEATHER FORECAST: Post-blizzard conditions

Updated:

The historic blizzard is officially in the books. The storm was the worst Worcester had even seen in terms of snow totals, and it was the sixth worst blizzard in Boston. Areas are measuring snow in feet with this storm, rather than inches. From central MA to eastern areas, some towns hit the 3 foot mark. These snow bands will continue to waiver across Northeastern Mass., with some areas getting an additional couple of inches on Wednesday.

In terms of snow clean-up, you'll want to bundle up on Wednesday. Subzero wind chills and temps in the teens will make for frigid shoveling conditions.

A look at some the snowfall totals from the National Weather Service.

Flooding has been part of the story along the coast. Both Marshfield and Scituate saw significant flooding after two high tides sent the ocean over into streets.

So far Boston has received 24.4” of snow with this snowstorm, ranking it the biggest snowstorm in Boston history for the month of January. Worcester has seen 34.5” of snow, making this storm the biggest snowstorm ever for the city!
