SOMERVILLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Crews responded to a four-alarm fire at a three-story home on Walnut Street Thursday morning.
When firefighters arrived at 106 Walnut Street at about 6 a.m., they were met with heavy smoke and flames coming from the wood frame home.
The fire allegedly started in the basement and spread throughout the home; however, it is unclear what caused the fire.
It is believed everyone who resides in the home made it out safely.
According to the American Red Cross, there are six units in the three story structure and 24 to 30 residents have been affected.
