Former Uber driver pleads guilty to rape, assault charges

BOSTON ( – A former Uber driver pleaded guilty to charges of rape, kidnapping and assault and battery Friday.

According to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, 47-year-old Alejandro Done will spend a decade in prison for the attack.

"The defendant preyed upon a young woman who trusted that he was who he portrayed himself to be," District Attorney Marian Ryan said in a statement.

Done admitted that on Dec. 6 around 7:3o p.m. a young woman entered his car believing him the be the driver set to pick her up.

According to the DA, Done told the woman he would need a cash payment, then stopped so the victim could go to an ATM.

Done then drove to a secluded area where he locked the doors and climbed into the back where he attacked the victim.
