BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Former State Senate Minority Leader Richard Tisei is weighing a possible run in the special election for U.S. Senate.
The Republican announced that he is exploring a run shortly after Scott Brown announced that he would not run in the election.
"Scott's exit from the race was obviously unexpected. That said, in the coming days I will be talking with family, friends, and supporters to consider the best role that I can play in helping to bring new, alternative leadership to Washington," says Tisei.
In Nov. 2012, Tisei lost a close race in Massachusetts' 6th Congressional District to Democratic incumbent John Tierney.
