(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A former correction officer was arraigned Friday for reportedly having sex with an inmate while employed at the Old Colony Correctional Center, a medium-security prison in Bridgewater.
Amy S. Carpentier, 38, of Attleboro, was arraigned Friday in Brockton Superior Court after turning herself in at the Plymouth Police Department. Carpentier was indicted on the charge by a grand jury in December 2012, but authorities were unable to locate her. She's also charged with intimidating a witness, reports the Plymouth Patch.
Carpentier was ordered to stay away from her alleged victim and witness. She is due back in court Jan. 25.
According to Patch, Carpentier worked for the state Department of Correction from September 2003 until she was terminated in December 2010.
