(MyFoxBoston.com) – Sherri Killins was taking classes, living in Connecticut and working in Massachusetts. The discovery forced her to resign. Now, the former commissioner of the state Department of Early Education and Care, is talking.
Over the weekend, Killins spoke with the Boston Herald, saying she sacrificed everything for her job.
Killins was getting a six-figure salary for her post and is staying on board as a paid consultant for the next two months.
FOX 25 examined Killins' travel expenses. On top of paying her salary, we discovered taxpayers have been footing her travel bills.
The Secretary of Education says during a review, the state found no serious wrongdoing. Killins' only misstep was failing to get supervisors to sign off on receipt reimbursements.
