Former Chelsea Housing Authority director McLaughlin to plead guilty

(MyFoxBoston.com) – The former director of the Chelsea Housing Authority is set to plead guilty.  
 
Michael McLaughlin is due in federal court Tuesday. He is charged with falsely reporting his more than $350,000 salary. He allegedly hid his large salary from the Housing Authority from 2008 until 2011.
    
McLaughlin resigned in 2011. As part of a plea deal, he is expected to cooperate with federal investigators on other cases.
    
McLaughlin was a close friend of Lt. Gov. Tim Murray. The feds are investigating whether Murray took illegal campaign donations.
