The Flood Watch continues for * All of Southern New England * Until 1 PM EST this afternoon * Heavy rain early this morning will continue to result in significant urban street flooding...especially across eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We also continue to watch for the potential for isolated ice jam river flooding. * The heavy rain will come to an end by mid morning...but will need to watch for the potential of some minor river flooding on our slower responding mainstem rivers over the next 12 to 24 hours. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. && $$
