• Fla. woman charged with fourth OUI offense in Yarmouth


    YARMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 62-year-old woman is facing her fourth OUI offense after officers pulled her over for driving erratically on Route 28 Tuesday afternoon.

    Barbara Nathanson,of Treasure Island, Fla., has been charged with felony OUI liquor (fourth offense), marked lanes violation, and operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger.

    A concerned citizen called police at about 12:19 p.m. to report an erratic driver in a blue Chevrolet Malibu heading westbound on Route 28 in heavy traffic. The caller told police the driver, later identified as Nathanson, was all over the road crossing the double yellow lines and the fog lines.

    Officers pulled the car over at the intersection of Hemeon Drive. Nathanson allegedly failed a series of field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest.

    Nathanson's prior OUI convictions are out of Florida.

    Nathanson is being held at Yarmouth Police Headquarters and will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court Wednesday morning.
