Five men reel in 423-pound tuna

Updated:

CHATHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- It took five men to reel in a 423-pound tuna.

According to Cape Cod Online, the men had been fishing in Crab Ledge when hooking the tuna on a spinning reel, which typically only reels in fish from about 60-150 pounds.

The massive catch reportedly took 45 minutes to land, with Charter Captain Bobby Rice taking over the catch after the other fisherman threw their backs out in the pursuit.

It was quite a victory, but a short-lived one at that -- Rice's friend Caption Com Petrarca reportedly caught a 597 pound tuna on Sunday, just two days later.
