Five dogs pulled from feces, urine infested Marlborough home

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Marlborough homeowner may be facing animal cruelty charges after authorities pulled five dirty dogs living in squalid conditions from her Stevens Street home, police said.

Authorities executed a search warrant at 658 Stevens St. Sunday morning and found five Maltese dogs living inside the feces and urine infested home. The homeowner, Margaret Gardner, was not home at the time, but told authorities last week she was caring for the dogs which belonged to Kim LeMaire, reports the MetroWest Daily News.

In July, LeMaire was found living in a filthy Framingham hotel room with 19 Maltese dogs. She had been living there for three years, says the newspaper.

Gardner is also believed to be living in a hotel room, possibly with her registered dogs. Officials have requested charges be filed against Gardner.

The five dogs will likely join the 19 others which were taken from the hotel.
