MARSHFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Firefighters from Marshfield and Duxbury rescued a deer from a muddy river bed on Old Ocean Street in Marshfield Sunday.
Authorities responded to 261 Old Ocean St. at about 11:30 p.m. The deer had become stuck in the mud up to its head about 170 feet off the shore.
The rescue took approximately two hours. The deer which is about a year old suffered a broken leg and was taken to the BCA in Hanover.
