PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Firefighters in New Hampshire responded to a fire inside the Portsmouth Police Department Tuesday night.
According to Seacoastonline.com, crews responded to the fire at about 7:45 p.m. It is believed the fire started in the station's basement firing range area.
A police official told the site the smoke created a toxic condition inside the station and dispatchers had to be moved to a backup center at the city's public works facility.
The fire remains under investigation.
