Firefighters extinguish multiple-alarm blaze in Chelsea

CHELSEA, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Firefighters from Chelsea and surrounding communities were working to extinguish a large-scale fire late Sunday afternoon.

The fire broke out at a home on Arlington Street. Multiple homes were damaged from the fire, and at least two are uninhabitable.

In one of the damaged homes, a family of five children, including three children with autism, was inside watching movies when the fire broke out. A neighbor came to their door, banging on it, yelling fire. Everyone, including a cat, got out safely. In a matter of minutes, the house was completely destroyed.

No injuries were reported. Sunday evening, firefighters were still battling hot spots as the fire chief arrived on scene. A cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
