Firefighters battle blaze in Groveland

GROVELAND, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Firefighters were battling an extensive fire at a home Monday.

The fire began late in the afternoon at 213 Washington St. in a detached garage. But strong winds off the shore of Johnson's Pond allowed the fire to spread to the home, through the first and second floor, eventually tearing through the roof.

No residents were injured, though one firefighter suffered a minor injure after falling on ice that had formed as a result of fighting the fire.

A cause had not yet been determined as of Monday night.
