Firefighter injured, 10 people displaced after 5-alarm fire in Brockton

BROCKTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Ten people were temporarily displaced by a 5-alarm fire tore through half a city block in Brockton Monday.

The fire broke out at about 10:30 p.m. on Montello Street. At least one business was in a two-story warehouse that was damaged by the fire. A triple-decker building next door was also heavily damaged.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  

Officials say the homes impacted by the fire were just damaged, not destroyed.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
