Firefighter accused of drunk driving with child in the car

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — Attleboro Police arrested a Mansfield firefighter on Friday afternoon who is being charged for driving drunk with a child in his car, the Sun Chronicle reports.

James Devine, of Attleboro, was charged with child endangerment, marked lane violations, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence, second offense and failure to stop for police.

Police say this is reportedly Devine's second drunk driving offense.

Attleboro Police had been alerted by Mansfield Police to be on the lookout for Devine's vehicle, which is ultimately what led them to pulling him over.

Devine is listed in the town of Mansfield's website as a firefighter and paramedic.
