Fire flares up again at home in Somerville

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The state fire marshal's office is investigating a fire that broke out at one home on Banks Street Tuesday morning.

The fire marshal's office is also investigating a series of suspicious fires that broke out in Somerville in the past few months. They say it is too soon to know whether or not Tuesday's fire is related to the other fires.

Two fires broke out at the two and a half story home located at 19 Banks Street. Officials say the first fire broke out at about 3 a.m. That fire was knocked down quickly, but then started up again just before 6 a.m.

The second fire rose to 3 alarms. One of the houses adjacent to 19 Banks Street sustained exposure issues. There is no word on the extent of the damage to either home.

Investigators remained on the scene at 7:30 a.m.
