Fire breaks out at abandoned Hanson building

HANSON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – SKYFOX was over a fire Tuesday morning at an abandoned building at 1000 Main St. in Hanson.

The flames broke out just about 5:45 a.m. Someone driving by called it in to the fire department. It happened not very far from a string of fires set along the South Shore.

All the other fires were set outside of abandon buildings in Halifax, Plympton, Sandwich, Raynham, Easton, and Middleborough.

There is no official connection between the Hanson fire and the others, but the state fire marshal has been called to this scene. He told FOX 25 they have investigated suspicious fires in that area in the past. He's asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of any of the fires early in the morning to please call authorities as soon as possible.
