Fire breaks out after power is restored to Marshfield home

MARSHFIELD (MyFoxBoston.com) Fire officials say a 3-alarm blaze in Marshfield was related to the outages caused by last week's blizzard.

The fire broke out at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at 18 Ames Avenue. The fire was knocked down by 6 p.m.

Investigators believe the fire was caused by electrical failure related to the storm.

During the storm, power was knocked out to the home after wires were pulled from the home. A fire broke out after power was restored to the home.

There were no injuries. Fire officials say the home is a summer residence and therefore no one was displaced.
