• Female victim reports assault on edge of Tufts' Medford campus


    MEDFORD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police are searching for a male suspect who allegedly attacked a woman near the edge of the Tufts University campus in Medford Wednesday morning.

    The victim told police she was walking along Boston Avenue near Nick's Pizza at about 4:30 a.m. when a man made a rude comment to her. She says the man then approached her from behind after she had crossed College Avenue and forced her to the ground, reports The Boston Globe.

    Police say the victim managed to escape with minor injuries and ran to a relative's house where she reported the incident.

    The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male in his mid-20s. He is of average and weight and has a dimple in his chin. At the time of the incident, he was wearing jeans and a white t-shirt.
