Female stabbed in Brighton

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police are investigating a stabbing that happened early Thursday morning in Brighton.

It happened around 2 a.m. between Tremont and Washington streets. The victim told police she was walking in Oak Square when someone ran behind and stabbed her in the back, causing her to fall to the ground.

The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, said she ran home and woke her roommate up to call 911.

Police searched the area, but did not make any arrests.
