NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (MyFoxBoston.com) – The father of a 5-year-old boy who was last seen by relatives in September has been arrested in Connecticut.

Oliver was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school.

Oliver is the father of Jeremiah Oliver. Jeremiah Oliver was reported missing when his 7-year-old sister told a staff member at her school that she hadn't seen her brother in some time in December 2013.

Alberto Sierra, 23, and the boy's mother, 28-year-old Elsa Oliver are both believed to be involved in the boy's disappearance. They are facing child abuse charges.

Jose Oliver was seeking custody of the 7-year-old girl and a 9-year-old brother. Oliver reportedly hadn't seen the children since Elsa Oliver left him two years ago. He has a lengthy criminal history.
