Falmouth Police searching for driver in hit-and-run

FALMOUTH, Mass. — Falmouth Police are asking for the public's help in a hit-and-run.

Police said they received a call around 9:00 Friday night for a report of a pedestrian lying in the road near the intersection of Nobska Rd. and Oyster Pond Rd.

According to officials, the man sustained severe injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

The 24-year-old man was brought to the Falmouth Hospital, and later transported to the Boston Medical Center for further treatment.

He suffered significant trauma to his head, along with other injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle, police say.

The vehicle involved left the scene - but police said they are looking for a damaged 2013 - 2017 Buick Enclave SUV. The rear bumper insert police say is missing from the car is pictured below.

In addition to finding the driver, police are trying to determine whether the man was on the side of the road or on the middle of it when he was hit.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Falmouth Police Department. Police are also asking any homeowners with private surveillance on Nobska Road to allow them to see it.
